Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and review of US Statutory (STAT) and GAAP financial statements. Ensure accurate and timely Blue Book reporting, asset schedules, and regulatory filings.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with rating agencies, investment management diligence, and regulatory requirements. Partner with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Operational Oversight:
Supervise financial controls, risk management, and reinsurance accounting. Implement best practices for financial systems and reporting efficiencies.
Leadership:
Establish and oversee accounting, financial reporting, and capital management functions. Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred.
10+ years of progressive finance experience within life insurance/reinsurance.
Deep expertise in STAT, GAAP, and insurance accounting.
Knowledge of MYGA, FIA, and other life insurance products highly desired.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and drive results under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
