Position Overview
The Vice President Global Sales - Data Center Segment is a newly created executive role responsible for defining and driving the execution of sales and go-to-market strategies with a focus on Hyperscale, Global customers. As a key member of our leadership team you will ensure strategic alignment between customer priorities and Eaton’s roadmap, fostering growth, profitability, and long-term, sustainable partnerships across all markets. You will lead the development and delivery of tailored value propositions championing a comprehensive One Eaton approach of products, systems, software and services encompassing UL and IEC products and precise solutions. You will have the opportunity to build a team of Global Account Directors, bringing your commercial insight, cross‑cultural fluency, and inspirational leadership to deliver outstanding client experiences.
Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement
Define and execute the global sales strategy for large Data Center customers.
Lead the development of relationships at all levels between the customers and Eaton’s organization, ensuring that the voice of customers is clearly articulated.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
Provide specific Voice of Customer feedback to business stakeholders across the enterprise.
Expand client engagement through client‑centric KPIs.
Ensure global, regional and local account sales, service & support resources are engaged in the execution of the account plan, with agreed priority.
Team & Project Leadership & Delivery
Build, inspire, mentor a high‑performing global team of Global Account Directors (GAD), fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance across different geographies.
Establish clear performance goals, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth. Design and implement succession planning frameworks.
Oversee seamless delivery of products and services across multiple markets, leading cross‑functional teams to achieve program milestones and resolve complex challenges.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across teams and business units.
Revenue Growth & Profitability
Drive sustainable revenue growth by proactively identifying and converting new business opportunities within existing global accounts and creating pursuit teams as needed.
Monitor, analyze, and report on account performance, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and KPIs, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Facilitate effective communication between clients and global internal teams, translating client needs into actionable business solutions.
Represent the voice of the client internally, advocating for their interests and ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
Represent Eaton’s view on datacenters in media and conferences, universities/Marcom activities.
Lead business reviews, executive briefings, and strategic planning sessions.
Market & Industry Intelligence
Stay abreast of global industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
Work closely with the chief data center architect to share actionable insights with clients and internal stakeholders to inform strategy and innovation.
Monitor and analyze AI‑driven infrastructure trends to inform strategic direction.
Evaluate and support the adoption of emerging technologies such as liquid cooling within data centers.
Provide insights on market and industry intelligence as it relates to digital transformation and infrastructure efficiency.
Compliance/Governance and Standard Work for International Accounts
Ensure all client engagements and deliveries comply with local and international regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards.
Oversee contractual obligations and manage escalations with discretion and professionalism.
Partner with Sales Ops and IT to create standard work with SalesForce across the account lifecycle. Enforce standards across all key account teams.
Regularly conduct process reviews and drive continuous improvement with the sales ops leader.
Work with regions to agree on GTM and staffing for large international accounts.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
10+ years’ progressive leadership experience within a highly matrixed global organization in a similar scope/scale role.
5+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in hyperscale or cloud infrastructure.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex, high‑value accounts across countries and cultural contexts.
Significant expertise in negotiating large strategic deals and leading cross‑functional teams.
Deep understanding of data center technologies, ESG drivers, AI and sustainability trends, and global solution delivery.
Demonstrated expertise in data center infrastructure and design, with specific hands‑on experience in white space and/or grey space environments.
Strong industry presence and reputation for building trusted relationships.
Experience navigating organizational change and leading through ambiguity.
Proven ability to influence commercial, technical, and executive stakeholders.
Familiarity with Eaton’s MTDC and Hyperscale organizational structure and differentiators.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is considered highly advantageous.
Compensation The compensation base salary range for this position is $198,749.97 - $291,499.96. Additional variable pay components are available.
