Senior Structural / Bridge Design Engineer
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated
Senior Structural / Bridge Design Engineer
to be part of our growing Colorado and U.S. West regional bridge design project work based in the Denver, CO office.
Base Pay Range $120,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
Key responsibilities include performing bridge structure design analysis, plan preparation for diverse bridge structures, BIM and FEM modeling, and contributing to project work throughout the Western U.S. This role offers participation in challenging projects such as the Portage Bay Bridge and Brent Spence, and involves working within a large portfolio of structures.
Responsibilities
Senior Structural Engineer on projects, reviewing designs and plans.
Providing specialized technical input on transportation-related projects.
Managing projects, including design tasks and coordination with engineering staff.
Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new bridges and rehabilitation utilizing prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components.
Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex structures with a focus on 3D bridge modeling workflows.
Preparation of technical specifications, design documents, report writing, technical engineering support, and limited inspection during construction.
Minimum Requirements
BS + 6 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in structural engineering.
Project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including technical report writing.
Structural problem analysis skills, including design and calculation tools.
Knowledge of standard engineering practices and codes such as AREMA, AASHTO, PCI.
Experience with structural modeling software tools such as Open Bridge Designer, CSI, Midas.
Current PE license in the State of CO.
