Trustpoint is proud to partner with a national law firm in their search for a Senior Paralegal Manager to join their hybrid team in Washington, DC. This role will lead a team of paralegals and docketing professionals, focusing on client service, team development, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive paralegal experience, proven leadership skills, and a forward‑looking mindset to guide the team through process and technology improvements.>

Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Manage a team of paralegals, paralegal assistants, and docketing professionals, providing mentorship and modeling industry standards

Drive the annual evaluation process, including compensation benchmarking and internal equity analyses

Plan and implement professional development programs aligned with practice area needs and organizational strategy

Maintain and evolve career ladders, including competency frameworks, progression criteria, and promotion standards

Oversee departmental budgeting for training, certification, and technology investments

Develop and refine systems for workload tracking, assignment transparency, and utilization analysis

Lead day‑to‑day workflow and staffing requests, supporting attorneys and paralegals to ensure balanced workloads

Monitor and analyze attorney and paralegal utilization, workload, and productivity, providing actionable reports and dashboards

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, profitability, and client value through improved staffing and workflow practices

Ensure compliance with internal policies, client requirements, and confidentiality standards

Support succession planning and knowledge transfer within the paralegal and docketing teams

Requirements

Paralegal certification required or must be obtainable within six months of start

6–10+ years of paralegal experience, including 3+ years in a management or leadership role

Proven experience managing multi‑office legal support teams and developing operational systems

Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, including financial and utilization analysis

Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with attorneys and staff

Deep understanding of legal technology, workflow automation, and innovation tools

Salary range: $135,000–$175,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
