The Gist…
We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture and analytics efforts, ensuring that business and system data requirements are fully met and that end users receive high-quality, reliable, and actionable data products. This role drives data strategy, oversees data structures and integration patterns, and supports the delivery of scalable, compliant, and high-performing data solutions.
Define and maintain the overall data architecture, data models, and data integration patterns across the program.
Ensure data structures support current and future analytics, reporting, and operational needs.
Develop and enforce data standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of business and technical data requirements.
Work with stakeholders to align data solutions with mission objectives and end user expectations.
Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Oversee data-related components of system implementations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and performance.
Lead data integration strategies across applications, databases, and cloud environments.
Support ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation rules, and end-to-end data flows.
Guide the design of analytics environments, ensuring scalability and high performance.
Support data governance, metadata management, and data quality assurance.
Recommend improvements to optimize storage, processing, and data access patterns.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and leadership to ensure cohesive data solutions.
Document data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, standards, and lifecycle processes.
Communicate data strategies and architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor Degree + 8 years of experience leading data architecture and analytics efforts for large-scale, complex IT systems.
Certification in one or more AWS, Apache, Databricks, Oracle.
Proven experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise data environments.
Experience with cloud-native data architectures and modern data engineering tools.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and metadata management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
