Cybersecurity Manager / Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) - Kirtland AFB, NM
Serco is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager / Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to support the 705th CTS Distributed Mission Operations Center Infrastructure Development and Engineering (DMOC‑IDE) team at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This position is the primary role in securing systems that support simulation software, network infrastructure, and Live‑Virtual‑Constructive (LVC) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO). The incumbent will ensure cybersecurity policy implementation, conduct risk assessments, and support system certification and accreditation activities.
Responsibilities
Manage team of cybersecurity ISSOs and ISSEs.
Conduct system and network assessments to identify security deviations from policy or acceptable configurations.
Perform compliance audits and vulnerability assessments to support cybersecurity objectives.
Support program control processes to ensure risk mitigation and accreditation readiness.
Assist in the implementation of DoD security policy (e.g., NISPOM, DCID 6‑3) and recommend process enhancements.
Validate security requirements and recommend safeguards.
Support Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) activities and document results.
Prepare and maintain Security Plans and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
Conduct periodic reviews of system audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
An active DoD Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility.
SAP/SAR eligibility.
10 years of cybersecurity, information systems administration, and information systems project management experience.
Technical/Process/Workflow knowledge that supports the planning, execution, and real‑time resolution of complex cybersecurity problems. Ability to provide advanced cybersecurity technical support and manage cybersecurity posture of a complex cybersecurity environment.
IAM Level II (or higher) security certification.
Shall have no later than 12 months upon hire: CAPM certification.
A strong foundation in security audits, system assessments, and policy compliance.
Experience supporting cybersecurity documentation and accreditation processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to work on‑site at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico.
Ability to travel as needed up to 10%.
