$21.75 per hour

Schedule Hours: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Camp dates: June 15 – August 7.

Responsibilities

Attend mandatory staff training sessions.

Plan and instruct program activities and games for camp participants related to the camp theme.

Supervise and lead participants in daily camp activities and field trips.

Ensure the safety of participants, manage check‑in/out, and enforce late pick‑up policy.

Provide effective communication to caregivers regarding participant progress and behavior.

Maintain camp equipment, storage areas, and all paperwork.

Complete written reports promptly, including accident and incident reports.

Attend staff meetings as scheduled by the Program Coordinator.

Assist in the management and evaluation of counselors, assistant counselors, and volunteers.

Communicate any problems or issues that require special attention to the supervisor(s).

Perform other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Education or related discipline.

High school diploma or GED.

Experience working with children.

At least one year of experience in a camp setting.

Strong common-sense judgement in following instructions.

Proficiency in reading staff manuals, memos, and attendance sheets.

Ability to complete attendance sheets, accident reports, incident reports, and camper behavior reports using prescribed formats.

Effective verbal direction to subordinates and clear communication with co‑workers, supervisors, and the public.

Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Physical demands exceed sedentary work requirements.
