Job Summary
Develop and execute advanced temperature control strategies for HVAC systems to ensure optimal comfort, energy efficiency, and system performance.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with project teams, mechanical engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop tailored temperature control solutions that align with project goals.
Configure, program, and fine‑tune Building Management Systems (BMS), programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Direct Digital Controllers (DDC) to implement precise temperature control algorithms.
Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate existing temperature control systems, diagnose issues, and propose upgrades or improvements.
Generate detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for temperature control system installations, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
Oversee the commissioning process by calibrating sensors, validating control sequences, and performing thorough testing to ensure accurate temperature regulation.
Collaborate with installation teams and technicians during the implementation phase to ensure accurate execution of control strategies and equipment integration.
Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in temperature control and building automation.
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
Extensive experience in HVAC temperature controls engineering, including a deep understanding of temperature control theory and application.
Proficiency in programming languages and platforms used in temperature control systems.
Demonstrated ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize complex temperature control algorithms.
In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems and components, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and various temperature regulation devices.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to temperature control.
