Job Description Head of Sales
will focus on business acceleration, sales excellence, and strategic partnerships. Working with the Executive Leadership Team, this role will execute the company’s strategic growth plan and lead the global sales organization.
Overview of Position The Head of Sales will demonstrate a strong sales execution focus and a track record of building lasting customer relationships. Candidates should thrive in highly collaborative, transparent environments and bring a customer‑centric lens. Proactive engagement with customers, leadership, and the broader organization will be critical.
Responsibilities
Partner with other ELT members to execute the corporate strategic plan.
Advance Scaled Agile’s go‑to‑market approach to align internal teams toward new customer business objectives.
Improve the performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization’s revenue‑generating teams.
Build, grow, and coach global sales and customer success teams to drive consistent revenue across every segment.
Develop and manage a global major‑account development and account‑management process that builds loyalty, growth, and retention.
Grow and expand the recurring revenue base of the company.
Drive rapid adoption and expansion of our AI‑Native enterprise offerings.
Work with the RevOps team to manage pipeline performance, lead flow, and revenue predictability.
Participate in the most significant and strategic enterprise contract negotiations.
Collaborate with finance, product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing, and packaging strategies to achieve revenue goals.
Develop key partner relationships and build their capabilities to deliver the “whole solution” to customers.
Recruit and engage new global and regional strategic partnerships to accelerate growth.
Stay well‑connected with customers to inform product development and maintenance cycles.
Engage with markets, speaking opportunities, and customer executive engagement to position Scaled Agile’s global presence.
Build and develop teams that embody our culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Identify and resolve challenges and impediments across sales, marketing, product, and service teams.
Ensure worldwide implementation of Sales Enablement and Professional Development programs to drive revenue.
Qualifications
Proven track record of growing revenue through partnerships with product management, marketing, customer success, and partnerships.
Proven experience developing and executing business strategy.
Significant general management and P&L experience.
Ability to craft and execute a business strategy.
History of decision‑making based on business metrics.
Inspirational leadership style and hands‑on approach.
Strong technical experience with Salesforce and other commercial tools.
Compensation The starting base salary range for this role is $243,000–$285,000, plus bonus and equity. Salary will be based on factors including relevant experience, skills, and certifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, optional pet insurance, 401(k) with match, flexible paid time off, and a company‑paid sabbatical after six years of service.
Location & Working Environment We proudly support a collaborative remote environment for our globally distributed teammates, while also using our Boulder, Colorado office as a resource. This position is posted internally and does not require residency in Colorado.
