Westside Design
Westside Design
is a design practice driven by innovation and efficiency, redefining how homes are designed and built on LA’s westside. Born from a powerhouse collaboration with
Westside Build , our team brings together decades of high‑end single‑family residential design experience, spec building expertise, and cutting‑edge digital fabrication/technological integration to deliver exceptional homes at an approachable price point.
Westside Design
is a young and dynamic studio dedicated to crafting homes that are thoughtful, high‑quality, and deeply connected to their context. Our projects range from internal spec developments to client‑driven custom homes and fire rebuilds for communities impacted by recent wildfires.
We believe great design is never a one‑size‑fits‑all solution. Every home should reflect the people who live in it, the land it’s built on, and the broader environment. Our approach is joyful yet rigorous, experimental yet rooted in craftsmanship — guiding clients through a collaborative, design‑forward process to create homes that are elevated, personal, and enduring.
We’re committed to designing resilient homes faster, smarter, and better. By integrating advanced technology, digital fabrication, and offsite construction, we cut through inefficiencies, reduce costs, and accelerate timelines in partnership with our build team.
As we launch this new practice, we’re looking for design‑forward, ambitious collaborators who are excited to push boundaries, rethink workflows, and shape the future of homes in Los Angeles.
Role Description We are seeking a Job Captain to join our growing team, supporting the design and delivery of bespoke single‑family residential projects. The Job Captain plays a central role in developing technical documentation, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring project quality from design development through construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who thrives in collaborative environments, enjoys technical detailing, and is passionate about producing high‑quality work.

Ensure consistency with company CAD/BIM standards and documentation best practices
Perform regular QAQC reviews to ensure drawings are complete, coordinated and internally consistent prior to QAQC milestones with Technical Director
Manage work to follow project deadlines; alert leadership to potential delays and propose recovery actions
Work closely with all team members to support smooth project delivery, coordination workflows, and design documentation efforts
