Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $450,000.00/yr
Our client is a growing NYC Alternative Investments Firm, seeking to add a VP/Principal to their Investor Relations/Client Solutions team in NYC. In this position you will support the development and execution of firm’s communication with investors and other external stakeholders, shaping their perception of the Firm.
Ideal individual should be well versed with a proven track record of effectively working with institutional investors from pensions/endowments/consultants and asset allocators. In this VP role you will be asked to manage a small team (1-3pp) so prior management experience is strongly preferred.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Manage Client Service efforts by working strategically with internal and external team to accomplish goal
Develop, implement, and lead certain processes and solution design strategies on behalf of the Executive Team
Target and nurture relationships with sophisticated institutional investors; pension funds, endowments, foundations and consultants
Develop strategic and analytical frameworks for investor relations and business development efforts
Responsible for preparing and analyzing detailed investment reports ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial insights to investors including collaborating with internal finance teams to provide data driven support and content for investor relations activities
Formalize and implement a business plan and strategy to introduce firm to new investors
Attend meetings, industry events, and conferences with PM’s to meet with potential investors and to represent the firm
Prepare CFO and other members of senior management for meetings with current/prospective shareholders
Identify and work with business stakeholders to implement standard methodologies for operational processes and system optimizations
Prepare & present due diligence findings to investment committees, Senior Management and Firm Clients.
Qualifications
9+ years of applicable professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, strategy consulting/ investment bank, or direct Hedge Fund Marketing/Investor Relations.
Strong and well-developed analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skill, with exceptional attention to detail
BA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.
Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferred
Results-orientation with an ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely manner
Deep understanding of Private Equity/Alternative Asset Management and/or Real Estate required
Strong leadership potential, with excellent inter-personal skills and collaboration abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
