Company Overview Navier-Stokes Capital is a research-driven investment platform focused on uncovering persistent, repeatable alpha in public markets. We operate as a multi-PM platform where each portfolio manager runs a differentiated strategy within a unified risk, technology, and operational framework. Clients can choose to invest in a single strategy, a curated mix, or the entire multi-strategy platform, depending on their risk profile and return objectives.
Position Summary We seek a highly strategic and experienced Investor Relations professional to serve as the primary ambassador to our existing and prospective investor community. This individual will be the critical link between the investment team and the firm’s clients, responsible for communicating our strategy, performance, and value proposition. The ideal candidate is a sophisticated communicator with deep financial acumen, capable of building trusted relationships and strategically driving the firm’s capital growth.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Investor Communication & Reporting
Act as a primary point of contact for existing investors (LPs), handling sophisticated inquiries and maintaining strong, transparent relationships.
Develop and deliver compelling, accurate, and timely investor communications, including:
Comprehensive quarterly letters and performance reports.
Ad-hoc updates on market views, performance attribution, and significant portfolio changes.
Lead the preparation and execution of annual investor meetings and conference calls.
Capital Raising & Business Development
Develop and execute a proactive capital raising strategy to target and secure new institutional investors (e.g., pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices).
Create powerful marketing materials, including pitch books, tear sheets, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), that effectively articulate the fund’s strategy, edge, and track record.
Manage the entire investor onboarding process, from initial pitch to final subscription.
Due Diligence & Relationship Management
Lead and manage the rigorous due diligence processes conducted by prospective and current investors.
Coordinate with investment, risk, and operations teams to provide accurate and comprehensive responses to complex investor questions.
Develop a deep understanding of each investor’s goals, requirements, and reporting needs.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Serve as the “voice of the investor” within the firm, providing critical feedback and market intelligence to the CEO and investment team regarding industry trends, competitor landscape, and investor sentiment.
Contribute to product development and firm strategy based on insights from the investor community.
Internal Coordination & Compliance
Work closely with the investment team to maintain an expert-level, nuanced understanding of the fund’s strategy, portfolio, and performance drivers.
Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to ensure all marketing and communications materials adhere to regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience Essential
A minimum of
5-10 years of direct, relevant experience
in investor relations, capital raising, or institutional sales within the hedge fund, private equity, or asset management industry.
A verifiable track record of successfully raising capital from institutional investors.
Deep existing relationships with a network of institutional allocators is highly preferred.
Strong academic credentials from a top-tier university; an MBA or CFA is highly advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional Communication & Gravitas:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and persuasively to a sophisticated audience. Must be credible and poised with C-level executives and investors.
Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio management concepts, and the ability to deeply understand and communicate the fund’s investment process and performance.
Strategic Mindset:
Goes beyond a sales role; capable of developing a long-term IR strategy that aligns with the firm’s growth objectives.
