The organization CP Rochester and Happiness House are private nonprofit health, educational, residential and human service organizations that have been serving communities in the Finger Lakes Region since 1969 and the Greater Rochester Area since 1946. Today with sites in Rochester, Canandaigua, Geneva, Gorham, Midlakes and Waterloo, our agencies offer an array of educational, therapeutic, recreational, residential and family support programs and services for children and adults with and without disabilities. This is a contract position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during business hours. Hours to be determined by caseload, clinical demands, and coverage needs. Flexible schedule during clinic days/hours of operation. Summary / Objective:
The Psychiatrist will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services for adult and pediatric clients with behavioral health issues across Clinic locations. The Psychiatrist will ensure all Psychiatric services provided by the agency are focused on accomplishing the CP Rochester Mission, Vision, and Values and that the services meet the goals of the department and the agencies. Ensures the function of all programs impacted by Psychiatry are fulfilled and meets the needs of individuals served within clinic programs. Required Education and Experience
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Degree. Possess and maintain NYS Professional Certification and Licensure as a Physician. Have and maintain a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in New York. Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) in New York. 3+ years of experience as a psychiatric provider. Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Ability to work with both adult and youth/child populations. American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) board certification preferred. No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP). Demonstrated ability to plan and organize the daily operations of the department or program. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in planning, implementing and evaluating work with individuals, customers, and staff. Demonstrated tolerance for stressful interactions and situations. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and general computer skills. Knowledge and proficiency in use of Electronic Health Record System. Maintains credentialing and licensure status with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of credentialing staff. Valid New York State driver’s license. Must carry workman’s comp and disability insurance policy. Clinical experience supporting individuals with Intellectual/Developmentally Disabilities during education or work experiences in the field is preferred but not required. Provides oversight and coordination of all patient schedules to ensure compliance with CMS and treatment frequency requirements. Review/response of acute medical and/or laboratory responses, within 1 business day or less. Review/response to acute patient related issues, needing written and/or clinical activity, within 1 business day within 1 business day or less.
