Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a

Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Senior Network Engineer

to join our team on the upcoming Enterprise DISA JSP ETM Services 2.0 program. This position is onsite in the Washington, DC area. Duties & Responsibilities

Working with JSP customers to clarify requirements, analyze needs, and support the development of technical solutions for ECPs.

Ensuring that all proposed network changes align with JSP and DoD standards, addressing aspects such as system upgrades, network optimizations, and technology refreshment projects.

Designing comprehensive network architectures for ECPs based on requirements from the JSP customer engagement team, including detailed project schedules and cost estimates.

Providing expert input on network configuration, VLANs, VPNs, and switch installations as part of Small, Medium, Large, and Complex ECPs, ensuring all tasks fall within JSP's accredited boundaries.

Supporting both expedited and regular-priority ECP workflows and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

Collaborating with other team leads and COR/ACOR to develop project schedules, track project statuses, and update the government-approved project management tools.

Performing quality assurance inspections, supporting project closeout processes, and preparing documentation to ensure compliance with government security requirements.

Submitting required forms such as the Delivery, Receipt, and Acceptance (DI&A) Verification for completed ECPs.

Providing monthly ECP status reports and tracking ECPs in a shared network environment to maintain a comprehensive project repository for JSP and government access.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance required.

Bachelors in IT or related field with 5+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches.

5+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks.

2+ years as senior or lead engineer in planning, designing, and building software defined networks.

3+ years in a DoD environment.

Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities.

Configuring and installing various network devices and services.

Monitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, capacity planning.

Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols.

Experience with network virtualization technologies.

Experience with multi-tenant network architectures.

Familiarity with a wide variety of network routing and switching equipment from multiple vendors.

Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events.

Certifications: IAT Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M; IAT Level III certification.
