Business Development Representative

We are seeking a self‑motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role is a great fit for someone with exceptional people skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive, can‑do attitude. As a BDR, you’ll often be the first point of contact for potential customers, setting the tone for their experience with Waites. You’ll be responsible for scheduling meetings for our Enterprise Account Executives, qualifying sales leads from target lists and marketing campaigns, initiating and supporting email outreach efforts to engage prospects, and assisting with operational tasks to keep the sales process running smoothly. That means we’re looking for someone who’s confident, personable, and comfortable overcoming early objections to secure the next conversation.

Must reside in Cincinnati metropolitan area or be willing to relocate

Job Description
Drive outbound efforts through cold calling, email campaigns, and strategic social outreach to secure meetings for the sales team
Consistently meet quarterly quota attainment to move prospects to the scoping stage of the sales process
Qualify leads from target lists and marketing‑generated prospects
Research and execute market‑specific strategies and outreach plans tailored to target industries and accounts, moving them from first contact to initial appointment
Leverage LinkedIn and other platforms to build connections and nurture relationships
Support administrative and operational sales tasks as needed
Build strong, collaborative relationships with both prospects and internal sales team members
Continuously track toward and exceed defined sales goals
Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives
Requirements Qualifications
High School diploma required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in customer service or sales is preferred
Familiarity with basic sales processes and lead qualification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail‑oriented with solid spreadsheet and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through
Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Resilience through challenges and rejection, with the grit to stay motivated, adapt, and push forward
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast‑paced team
Eagerness to grow, stretch beyond current abilities, take initiative, and actively seek and apply feedback to improve
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic
