2nd Shift Quality Coordinator
– Kraft Heinz, Davenport Plant (New)
Job Description Davenport Kraft Heinz is looking for a Quality Control Coordinator. The role involves assisting the production line to produce high‑quality products, aiding Line Tech or Supervisor in supervising production through quality control and HACCP process checks, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring the consistent production of quality product with continual improvement. The position also holds accountability for Q‑RMP standards as outlined.
Functions and Responsibilities
Perform and document all production startup checks at the given time limits to ensure finished product specifications are met, using startup sheets.
Evaluate and document product quality by sampling at various stages, using process check sheets for each item.
Develop and execute strategies that improve the agility and reliability of the supply base for new product launches and line extensions.
Work proactively with strategic suppliers to deliver continuous improvement ideas and technology that ultimately drive advantage and revenue‑generating opportunities.
Perform periodic audit checks of line operators to ensure all HACCP/Process checks are done correctly and timely.
Assist in product changeovers to ensure all previously run packaging supplies are removed and current running packaging supplies are available.
Verify and document accuracy of Loma Check weighers.
Communicate and document problems to Line Tech or Supervisor.
Assist operators as needed to perform the job to the highest quality and safety levels.
Perform miscellaneous tasks such as housekeeping, inspections, and packer training on product specifications.
Collect, verify accuracy and file all daily quality, HACCP and manufacturing process paperwork.
Perform all other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Assist Line Tech and Supervisor in maintaining a safe work environment.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous pickle packer experience preferred.
Basic math and interpersonal skills; ability to work with limited supervision and within time constraints.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Skills and Physical Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work in a meat‑processing/raw foods environment with heavy machinery and equipment.
Flexibility to work any 2nd shift hours; ability to stand for an entire 8‑hour or 12‑hour shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend/carry/push/pull continuously throughout an 8‑hour shift.
Ability to work in extreme cold temperatures / wet environment working conditions.
Work Environment & Schedule Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Second shift hours may vary due to the needs of the business.
Benefits & Compensation
$26.20 per hour starting July 28, 2025.
$2.00/hour shift premium for working 6 pm to 6 am.
