What You’ll Do As our Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated warehouse team, providing direction, pace, and accountability while connecting warehouse performance to JH Kelly’s broader construction goals. This isn’t just about moving boxes—it’s about management, execution, and leadership.
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $115,000 annually (DOE), FLSA exempt.

Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.

Conduct regular 1:1s to provide guidance, set clear performance goals, and ensure accountability through constructive feedback and professional development plans.
Cultivate a customer-service mindset, ensuring your team delivers exceptional support to internal field teams and builds trust across the company.
Operational & Process Excellence
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing small tools and equipment.
Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment and timely dispatch of materials to construction sites.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and recommend process improvements within the approved framework.
Structure warehouse organization and labeling to facilitate efficient order fulfillment and restocking.
Coordinate with Procurement for restocking at minimum stock levels.
Coordinate with Logistics to schedule, track, and ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Coordinate with the Director of the Field Support Team to align warehouse procedures with company-wide standards.
Enforce warehouse policies and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant operations.
Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and manage control systems for both stock and tool repair.
Implement inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for fulfilling obligations to construction operations.
Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
What You Bring
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years in warehouse operations management; experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, analytical problem‑solving, and the ability to translate operational needs into efficient processes.
Mindset:
Strategic yet hands‑on, with a knack for change management, process improvement, and driving team performance.
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and warehouse management software. Bonus points for leveraging automation or inventory tracking tools.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related work experience.
Other:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements Physical requirements for this role primarily involve working in an office setting, with occasional tasks in a shop/warehouse environment. In the office, the individual must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, performing repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse, and communicating by telephone. Occasionally, the role may require entering the shop/warehouse setting, where the ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds is necessary. Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for shorter durations, as well as basic proficiency in using hand and power tools. Good vision and hearing are essential, along with the ability to safely navigate the shop/warehouse environment. Employees must adhere to a specific dress code, including sturdy, closed‑toe non‑slip shoes, comfortable but fitted clothing, and long pants for safety and efficiency.
