The team works closely with distressed companies, creditors, and stakeholders to navigate complex financial and operational challenges. They pride themselves on delivering hands‑on, high‑impact solutions with speed, precision, and integrity.
Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join its growing team. The role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in restructuring and bankruptcy who are ready to take on greater responsibility in client‑facing engagements. You will support and lead critical work streams across a variety of distressed and special‑situation mandates.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of turnaround and restructuring engagements, including liquidity management, operational assessments, and strategic planning.
Build and maintain detailed financial models, including 13‑week cash‑flow forecasts, business‑plan reviews, and recovery analyses.
Assist in the development of restructuring strategies, including both in‑court (Chapter 11) and out‑of‑court solutions.
Prepare client deliverables such as presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
Participate in meetings with clients, legal advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to internal knowledge development and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of total professional experience, with at least 3–4 years in restructuring, turnaround, or bankruptcy advisory.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
Familiarity with bankruptcy processes, creditor negotiations, and distressed financial analysis.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced credentials (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIRA) are a plus.
Compensation Expected Base:
$150,000 – $200,000
Discretionary Bonus:
30% – 100%
