Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for planning and executing successful events. As the Assistant Event Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and implementation of a variety of events, from corporate meetings and conferences to social gatherings and large-scale festivals.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and execution of events from start to finish, including logistics, catering, and venue coordination. Communicate with clients and vendors to gather information and provide updates regarding events. Help manage event budgets, including tracking expenses and processing invoices. Coordinate the scheduling of meetings and appointments related to event planning. Support on-site event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all elements are in place for a successful event. Assist in the development of event marketing materials and strategies to promote events.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred. 1-2 years of experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a professional setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
