Syght cannot provide relocation or visa assistance at this time. *No agencies please* Position Objective: Develop low and mid level firmware for PCB assemblies for revolutionary millimeter wave security systems. Electronics/firmware will detect weapons and other objects of interest using millimeter wave sensors and control mechanical assemblies for optics. Firmware designed to acquire and process image and position data at high-speed, leveraging complex algorithms written in ANSI C language. Designs must be cost-conscious with high reliability. Support all phases of the product development life cycle.Candidate will have deep knowledge and experience with FW development for embedded applications. Responsibilities: Participate in design of electronics, and implement control firmware based on Architecture Specifications Implementing and refining complex algorithms Analyzing and providing input to requirements Identifying technical solutions and components which meet objectives and deliver required functionality Isolating, debugging, and resolving complex FW issues Hardware unit and integration testing Support regulatory qualification, commercialization, and transfer to manufacturing Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related field OR equivalent years of experience Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills Quick to assimilate new concepts Experience in: Embedded firmware development and tools environment; STM lines of Arm-based MCUs Experience with writing drivers for interfaces such as SPI, RS-232, CAN, Modbus. Understanding of Logic Analyzers, scopes and JTAG debuggers. Basic knowledge of ARM assembly Encoders, controllers, and signal processing applications Wireless power and communication Logic Analyzers and scopes Strong debugging, C and Python skills. Bonus: Arm M4/M7 experience ML concepts and basics of TensorFlow, CUDA, and other ML tool chains Strong written and verbal communication skills Good organizational skills and attention to detail ·Individual who consistently delivers high quality results with minimal supervision ·Provide technical guidance management as needed Seniority level
