Job Description Candidates must reside in Miami, Florida.
We are looking for a full-time Associate Attorney to join our firm's practice in Florida. This position involves broad responsibilities and exposure to legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Our firm’s headquarters are in New York, so communication with the main office is exclusively via telephone and electronic means (email, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm’s clients in Florida.
Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
Conducting legal research on issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
Work Location: Remote – PRIMARY RESIDENCE MUST BE IN FLORIDA. Candidates must reside in Miami, Florida, and be able to attend court in person when required.
Qualifications:
Experience drafting legal documents, such as pleadings and memoranda, with strong organizational skills and willingness to handle a heavy workload.
Must be currently admitted to practice law in Florida (multi-state admission is a plus).
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
