The Apex team is seeking a Network Engineer. This role requires a candidate to serve as a tactical and operational technical resource, implementing and overseeing computer networks supporting voice, data, video, and wireless services. The Network Engineer manages, maintains, plans, schedules, integrates, and troubleshoots networks and devices such as WANs, LANs, WLANs, VPNs, and VoIP, while monitoring network health. Responsibilities include network installation planning, upgrades, cutovers, testing, implementing security best practices, and supporting Cisco Nexus, IOS, and IOS-XE routers and switches. We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our Apex team. The role involves providing technical support, overseeing computer networks, managing and troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring network stability. The Engineer will handle planning, upgrades, testing, security implementations, and support Cisco routers and switches. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve, or escalate incidents and problems with internal and external teams. Configure and install network routers, switches, and wireless controllers, including handling IMAC requests. Perform daily operational tasks to ensure network stability. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain operational redundancy. Optimize bandwidth and plan capacity based on customer needs. Assist in network design improvements and capacity planning with senior architects. Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigations to ensure compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and other regulations. Requirements: Current CCNA certification is required; CCNP is a plus. At least 3 years supporting multi-site networks with 5000+ users is desirable. Familiarity with network tools like bits set, loopback plugs, laser lights for fiber identification. Experience with Cisco Prime, Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, Solarwinds, Infoblox, Palo Alto, and F5 is a plus. Self-motivated with a strong ownership attitude. Ability to update skills using GNS3 or EVE-NG.
