We are seeking an
Electronic Security Technician
to join our federal team based at the
Department of Justice Headquarters
location in downtown Washington D.C.

Pay range: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour based on experience.
Company vehicle: Yes
Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday. Primary hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm. On call one week a month.
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment. Travel: Limited. Primary work is all for the Department of Justice.
Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include, but not limited to, access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems include, but not limited to: SoftwareHouse C-cure 9000, Bosch, and American Dynamics.
May install security devices and infrastructure at times in accordance with installation plan according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines.
Assist with security system programming and setup.
Conduct testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs.
Conduct testing of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
May help prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions from supervisor.
Conduct End-User training.
Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris.
Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
5+ years experience installing or maintaining commercial and/or industrial integrated / electronic security systems (access controls, intrusion detection, CCTV).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
Capable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment.
Works well unsupervised and also as part of a team environment.
Active Department of Defense Secret clearance (or one that was active within the last 2 years). Active Top Secret clearance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency working with Softwarehouse C-cure 9000.
Proficiency working with commercial and/or industrial camera systems. Experience working with Bosch, MDI, and/or American Dynamics preferred.
Preferred Education
Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000 certified.
