Job Summary: The Department of Art + Architecture at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track Assistant Professor position to begin Fall 2026.
Position Description: The Architecture program seeks candidates with a background or expertise in architectural design, history and theory of architecture, building technology and construction, community outreach, professional practice, project management, city and regional planning, or landscape architecture.
Job Responsibilities
Teach 2–3 courses per semester, totaling 18 units per academic year.
Advises Architecture majors and minors.
Serves in departmental and college service.
Maintains an active research program that engages students when possible.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or terminal degree in architecture or a related field.
Experience in architectural design practice or related fields.
Commitment to excellence in teaching in a culturally diverse environment.
Strong record of university‑level teaching, scholarship, and support for the mission of USF.
Applicants Should Submit
A cover letter summarizing interests and qualifications.
Curriculum vitae.
A statement of teaching philosophy and experience, including reflection on teaching in a culturally diverse environment.
A research statement.
Evidence of teaching ability (e.g., sample syllabi, teaching evaluations).
