>Job Summary The Department of Art + Architecture at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a full-time tenure‑track Assistant Professor position to begin Fall 2026. This position seeks candidates with expertise in architectural design, history and theory, building technology and construction, community outreach, or related areas. Experience in professional practice, project management, city and regional planning, or landscape architecture is welcome.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach 2–3 courses per semester (2‑ and 4‑unit courses, to a total of 18 units per academic year), serve as an advisor to Architecture majors and minors, engage in departmental and college service, and maintain an active research program that involves students when possible.
Minimum Qualifications • Ph.D. or terminal degree in architecture or a related field (city planning, landscape architecture, urban design). • Experience in architectural design practice or related fields. • Commitment to excellence in teaching in a culturally diverse environment. • Strong record of university‑level teaching, evidence of scholarship, and alignment with the mission of the University of San Francisco.
