Role Description We are seeking a skilled
Associate Immigration Attorney . The personal rewards of the work include making a difference in the clients’ lives through our office’s representation. Responsibilities
Represent clients before the EOIR in removal defense matters.
Represent clients in family-based immigration matters, asylum applications, U Visa applications, naturalization, and adjustment of status proceedings.
Provide review and guidance for adjustments to work prepared by our Legal Assistants and Paralegals.
Manage a high-volume workload with guidance from managing attorneys and support from our paralegal team.
Qualifications
2+ years of Immigration Law experience
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Illinois or any other state in the U.S. and in good standing
Bilingual in Spanish & English – both speaking and writing
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Live within commuting distance to Chicago Loop
May require some pre-scheduled Saturday work (9a-1p)
Some travel may be required for in-person hearings
Preferred Experience
Federal immigration litigation – particularly habeas and mandamus cases
Remote Work During our introductory period (minimally 90 days), the Associate Attorney may be required to work
in office
only. Typically, our firm maintains a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in office).
