Job Summary Qualified Health is seeking a

Clinical Operations Lead

to bridge deep clinical operations expertise with cutting‑edge GenAI product development. You'll transform how health systems operate by building AI‑powered workflows that solve real operational challenges in areas like OR scheduling, capacity optimization, referral management, and patient flow. This role combines hands‑on domain knowledge with product ownership, working directly with engineering and design teams to ship solutions that meaningfully improve healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Own and build GenAI‑powered workflows focused on clinical operations challenges, such as OR scheduling, capacity utilization, hospital transfers, referral management, and patient flow optimization

Lead discovery and requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and identifying high‑value automation opportunities

Provide clinical evaluation and validation to ensure product accuracy and clinical appropriateness

Collaborate with engineering, design, and customer success teams to translate operational challenges into product requirements

Partner with health system clients to understand pain points, validate direction, and ensure successful implementations

Define success metrics and use data to drive product iterations

Navigate healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, clinical safety standards)

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience in clinical operations within healthcare delivery settings (hospital systems, health networks, or similar environments) OR Minimum of 2 years of clinical operations experience combined with an MD degree

Deep understanding of clinical operations workflows such as OR scheduling, capacity management, patient flow, referral management, hospital transfers, surgical readiness, or imaging utilization

Track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing process improvements in healthcare settings

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to break down complex operational challenges

Excellent communication skills—ability to work effectively with clinical teams, operations staff, and technical engineering teams

Comfort with ambiguity and ability to move quickly in a fast‑paced startup environment

Self‑starter who can work independently and drive projects to completion

Customer‑focused mindset with commitment to building products that solve real operational problems; Able to work onsite in Palo Alto 3 days/week

Desirable Skills and Experience

Medical degree (MD or DO) — residency completion is a significant plus

Background in Value‑Based Care and/or Managed Care

Prior product management experience, particularly in healthcare technology or B2B SaaS

Experience with AI/ML technologies or healthcare IT solutions

Familiarity with healthcare data systems (EHR, scheduling systems, capacity management tools)

The pay range for this role is between $200,000 and $225,000, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
