Overview
The Product Director is customer‑obsessed and leads the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a mission‑critical product ecosystem at Atlas Air. This role goes far beyond backlog management—it requires a sharp strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver impactful business outcomes. The product director is the voice of the customer/end‑user in the product and builds relationships with team members, key stakeholders, customers, executives, and other organizations involved in the end‑to‑end product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate Atlas Air's core values (integrity, customer focus, teamwork, innovation, accountability) and respond appropriately to any known departure.
Apply high standards of strategic judgment, cross‑functional leadership, and organizational influence.
Lead by example in fostering a customer‑centric mindset and product leadership across teams.
Operate with strategic autonomy, balance trade‑offs, and inspire teams to deliver impactful outcomes.

Define and evolve product strategy and vision aligned with Atlass Air's strategic priorities.
Translate ambiguous inputs into structured, outcome‑driven product plans.
Influence executive stakeholders with data‑driven narratives and achieve alignment on product vision.
Lead customer discovery, experimentation, and rapid iteration to validate needs and assumptions.
Own the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that balance customer, business, and technical outcomes.
Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, data, and business teams to ensure successful product delivery.
Establish clear KPIs and success metrics, adjusting strategy based on continuous learning.
Act as a player‑coach, mentoring talent, fostering a growth mindset, and raising the bar for product thinking.
Champion innovation through customer insights, lean experimentation, and rapid iteration.
Manage a P&L if required and support engineering culture and adaptive human‑centric system of work.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of product management experience; 3+ years with full accountability of a complex enterprise‑level program, portfolio, or product.
Proven success in strategic product management roles focused on driving business outcomes.
Track record of defining and executing product strategies.
Experience leading product strategy in high‑growth, ambiguous, or consultative environments.
Ability to define product vision, strategy, and outcomes.
Strong track record of working with senior leaders and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
Experience with customer discovery techniques, agile delivery, and experimentation frameworks.
Familiarity with modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, automated testing, cloud‑native systems) is a plus.
Experience managing ERPs or enterprise platforms as a product.
Airline or logistics experience an advantage but not essential.
Proven ability to lead through influence and align teams around a unified vision.
Experience in multiple industries (technology, FinTech, SaaS, HealthTech) with ability to ramp up quickly.
Background in consulting, technology, or high‑growth sectors highly valued.
Career progression reflecting increased scope, strategic influence, and team impact.
