The Research Data Manager will manage data for a portfolio of clinical trials overseen by Georgetown University Medical Center’s Clinical Research Organization (CRO). The CRO supports research across various clinical departments, and the Research Data Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all trials are conducted in strict accordance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Working under the supervision of the CRO Director, the Research Data Manager oversees the collection, management, and integrity of clinical research data for non‑oncology trials. The position involves the development, coordination, and execution of data management activities across a portfolio of investigator‑initiated, federally funded, and industry‑sponsored studies, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely data entry and reporting. Responsibilities

Oversee delivery of high‑quality clinical research data for complex trials across multiple studies and therapeutic areas, from study start‑up and planning through execution and closeout. Support multiple clinical research studies. Demonstrate a general understanding of each assigned protocol, critical tasks, and milestones. Work Interactions

The incumbent reports directly to the manager and collaborates with CRCs, PIs, clinical staff, biostatisticians, regulatory staff, and study sponsors to meet project deliverables and timelines for data acquisition, quality checking, and reporting. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field and at least 3 years of related experience. Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Experience with web‑based Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and clinical data management systems preferred. Knowledge of data abstraction methods. Work Mode Designation

This position is designated as on‑campus. Work mode designations are reviewed regularly to meet evolving university needs. Pay Range

$44,022.00 – $73,406.80. Compensation is determined by numerous factors including qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications. EEO Statement
