Program/Account Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Program/Account Manager
to join our team. Imperial Machine & Tool is a precision CNC machine shop serving the
aerospace, defense and semiconductor industries . This key role is responsible for managing strategic customer accounts, ensuring delivery commitments are met, and acting as the primary liaison between our shop and
tier-one customers
such as Boeing and BAE Systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in program management or account management within a manufacturing environment, as well as direct experience on the shop floor in a
manufacturing or quality assurance capacity . This role involves active coordination of orders from receipt through completion and includes
periodic monitoring of customer satisfaction
in accordance with
AS9100
requirements.
What you will work on: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned tier-one customers (e.g., Boeing, BAE Systems), maintaining strong, professional relationships. Manage and communicate
open order reports , ensuring timely updates and proactive communication of any risks or delays. Track customer orders from
contract review through planning, production, outside services , and final delivery. Conduct
periodic surveillance of customer satisfaction
and support continuous improvement efforts per
AS9100
standards. Collaborate with production, quality, planning, and shipping departments to ensure customer expectations are met. Lead regular customer meetings and provide professional status updates on delivery schedules, quality concerns, and program status. Assist with tracking and conveying RFQs, new business quotes, and engineering changes in coordination with estimating and engineering teams. Ensure compliance with
ITAR ,
DFARS , and customer-specific flowdown requirements and documentation. Maintain clear and organized records in compliance with
AS9100
and internal quality procedures. Proactively manage program risks and resolve issues impacting delivery, cost, or quality. What you will bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 3 years of experience in
sales, program or account management
in a contract manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint is a must. Hands-on experience on the shop floor in a manufacturing or quality assurance role strongly preferred. Solid understanding of machining processes, lead times, and coordination of outside processing (e.g., heat treat, anodize, NDT). Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP) and production tracking tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Must be a USA person (identified as US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card), any individual who is granted status as a "protected person" under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting major aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. Ability to read and interpret aerospace technical drawings, customer specifications, and quality clauses. Familiarity with contract review processes and flowdown of customer requirements. Working knowledge of
AS9100 ,
ITAR , and contract manufacturing compliance standards a plus. Compensation & Benefits:
