Senior Network Architect
– Transaction Network Services (TNS)

Overview As a senior member of the Network Architecture team, you will design, document, and deploy services across a global Managed Service Provider IP/MPLS network. You will focus on large‑scale SD‑WAN, IPSec, MPLS VPN, IP multicast, and wired/wireless communication solutions. The role supports TNS’s transition to private‑ and public‑cloud environments, emphasizing automation, orchestration, and a NetDevOps model. You will work cross‑functionally with pre‑sales, internal teams, development teams, vendor partners, and operations to deliver scalable, supportable, and automated network solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, test, and document new technologies, features, and solutions, creating repeatable procedures for the Implementations team and the Network Operations Center.
Collaborate with Pre‑Sales Engineers and Product Marketing to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Evaluate and integrate vendor platforms and solutions into TNS’s product suite.
Provide third‑level support to the Network Operations Center and Implementations teams.
Develop detailed lab test plans, reports, and procedures; train operations and engineering staff; draft troubleshooting documentation for vendors.
Interact with vendors to resolve issues, perform hands‑on testing, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications – Essential Skills
Experience designing and provisioning MPLS or SD‑WAN solutions.
Hands‑on experience configuring Fortinet FortiGate devices in SD‑WAN topologies.
Proficiency with network automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, JSON, Nautobot, Arista Cloudvision, Cisco DNA Center).
Strong knowledge of IPSec (DMVPN, RRI) design, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.
Experience building cloud‑based architectures in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Expertise in IP multicast design, operation, and troubleshooting.
Ability to design network solutions based on high‑level customer requirements.
Comprehensive routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, PIM, BFD).
Experience with Customer Edge features (NAT, VRRP/HSRP).
Proven ability to maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented solutions.
Expert troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Vendor product evaluation experience (hardware, software, service provider).
Knowledge of broadband service deployments (xDSL, Cable).
Ability to coordinate network maintenance and installation windows.
Strong work ethic: hardworking, focused, thorough, and punctual.
Effective written and verbal presentation skills.
Support experience in Tier‑1 and Tier‑2 environments.
Self‑motivated and capable of independent or team work with minimal instruction.
Willingness to work flexible hours and provide on‑call support.
Qualifications – Desirable Skills
Fortinet, Cisco, or Juniper certifications (NSE Level 4‑7, CCIE/CCNP‑SP, JNCIE, JNCIP).
Experience with AAA, Tacacs+, Radius, and CA/PKI.
Voice over IP, dial services (Async/PPP, ISDN), wireless services (CDMA, EVDO, GPRS, EDGE, 802.11b/g/n), and server load‑balancing (F5).
Data center design and support (Cisco Nexus, Arista, Juniper).
Experience with F5, Netscaler, AWS ALB/SLB.
Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools; Agile practices.
CloudFormation template creation.
Automation using Python, Ansible, and vendor tools.
Firewall configuration experience (PIX/ASA, IOS, Netscreen, JunOS).
Designing and automating AWS/GCP/Azure architecture.
Designing and automating NSX‑V/NSX‑T networking.
Designing and automating OpenStack (Canonical or RedHat).
Unix/Linux proficiency.
Compensation and Benefits For US locations, the base salary range is $140,000 – $180,000, with variable pay eligibility. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
