Assistant Store Manager – AutoZone
Join AutoZone’s store teams on the front line of WOW! customer service. Store employees maintain well‑stocked inventory, assist customers with product selection, provide expert advice, and foster a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. As the Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support daily operations, energize team performance, and drive sales in a fast‑paced retail setting.
Responsibilities
Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing store personnel.
Ensure clear and effective communication with employees and customers, fostering a positive environment.
Help meet sales targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and optimize cash flow.
Take responsibility for store operations, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with company standards when the Store Manager is absent.
Ensure customers receive WOW! service, resolve concerns proactively, and transform complaints into positive experiences.
Lead operational initiatives, maximize productivity, train and retain high‑performing employees via effective merchandising and a clean, organized environment.
Enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) use, promote workplace safety, and assist in risk management activities.
Support budgeting efforts, analyze profit & loss statements, and monitor expense controls to maximize profitability.
Qualifications
Basic automotive parts knowledge.
Proven leadership experience with strong communication, decision‑making and sales‑driving skills.
Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Thrives in fast‑paced environments while driving operational excellence and team engagement.
Capable of fostering a positive work culture focused on development and results.
Proficient in managing, analyzing, and reconciling profit & loss statements.
Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise with attention to safety and accuracy.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise.
Preferred
Exceptional communication skills in both Spanish and English.
ASE certification preferred.
