Save Job

Seattle, WA

About the Role We are seeking a bilingual (Korean/English) accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands‑on environment where no two days are the same. This role is perfect for someone with experience in smaller organizations and IFRS technical expertise. You’ll be comfortable processing vendor payments on Monday and preparing consolidated financial statements on Friday.

The Reality of This Role This is not a specialized, single‑function position. It requires wearing many hats and enjoying the variety! This is an IC role that requires you to roll up your sleeves and jump in.

Embraces variety:

Your day might include AP processing, revenue recognition analysis, financial reporting, and assisting with audit requests.

Thinks like an owner:

In small companies you can’t just say “that’s not my job” – you figure it out.

Brings technical depth:

When complex IFRS questions arise, you research and resolve them.

Communicates across cultures:

Your Korean language skills enable seamless collaboration with our parent company.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

Process vendor invoices and expense reports.

Manage AP aging and payment runs.

Perform deferred revenue and unbilled analysis and record revenue recognition per IFRS.

Perform account reconciliations.

Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.

Support tax compliance and reporting requirements.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination

Serve as Korean language liaison with parent company.

Translate and communicate financial information between Korean and English‑speaking team members.

Coordinate with Korean parent company on reporting requirements and deadlines.

Facilitate meetings and calls with Korean counterparts.

Required Qualifications Technical & Professional

5‑8 years of progressive accounting experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Strong IFRS knowledge with practical application experience.

Small company background (startups, SMBs, or small subsidiaries) where you’ve handled diverse responsibilities.

Experience with full accounting cycle from AP to financial statements.

Language & Communication

Fluent in Korean and English (speaking, reading, writing).

Comfortable communicating complex accounting matters in both languages.

Experience working in cross‑cultural business environments.

Technical Systems

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).

Ideal Candidate Profile

Have small company DNA:

You’ve worked where everyone pitches in, resources are limited, and scrappiness matters.

Are technically strong:

You can navigate IFRS standards, not just follow checklists.

Stay organized in chaos:

You can juggle multiple priorities without dropping balls.

Take initiative:

You see a problem and solve it rather than waiting to be told.
