General Summary: This individual independently plans, performs the moderately‑defined responsibilities for designing, standardizing, implementing, verifying, validating, and commercializing Wireless WAN (or cellular) air interface and modem technologies as a prototype, specification, product, or component within a product. The role requires expertise in WWAN specifications and the ability to design, optimize, and implement software for advanced wireless systems and modems. The candidate will work closely with other functional groups to develop a cost‑effective, high‑quality, and high‑capability air interface and modem that meets industry and customer requirements with high performance (capacity, coverage, throughput, latency, power consumption) and acceptable cost (silicon area, calibration complexity, code size). The individual is expected to contribute strongly at design reviews and project meetings.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
Clean education, training, or experience combination that is acceptable to the employer.
Pay Range: $136,225.00 - $183,700.00/year
