We are seeking a detail‑oriented
Senior Project Engineer
to lead the design and development of advanced medical devices. The role involves driving electronics and embedded systems from concept to production while ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance ISO 13485, and successful product launches. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with contract manufacturers (CMs) to support design transfer, production builds, and troubleshooting.

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead electronics and embedded system development across the full product lifecycle — from concept, architecture, and design through to testing, validation, and manufacturing transfer
Collaborate with Production, Marketing, and Sales for product requirements, releases, supports, and testing
Conduct design review including schematics and PCB layouts and firmware for embedded systems, video/audio signal chains, and power subsystems
Work closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) daily to ensure product designs are implemented correctly and manufacturing aligns with specifications
Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write‑ups
Create and maintain documentation required for design history files (DHF)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in electronic hardware and embedded systems design.
Knowledgeable in high‑speed video/audio/data transmission, switching, and/or processing for products such as video analyzers, video scalers, video matrix switchers, and video walls.
Hands‑on experience with schematics (Altium Designer or equivalent), and PCB layout
Experience with CPLD, FPGA, and Microprocessor programming and coding
Solid understanding of signal integrity, analog/digital design, and debugging using lab instruments (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
Prior experience in ISO 13485 environment. Demonstrable past capabilities in solving complex video design problems
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE
Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, preferred
Prior experience in FDA‑regulated product development
Experience with medical‑grade video and audio signal processing (e.g., HDMI, SDI, audio ADC/DAC, compression)
Understanding of power system design, including DC‑DC converters, LDOs, and isolated supplies for medical equipment
Familiarity with real‑time operating systems (RTOS) and/or low‑latency firmware development
Knowledge of network configuration and setup
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles
SKILLS, ABILITIES, & ATTRIBUTES
Strong attention to detail, problem solving, organizational, time and risk management skills, and analytical abilities
Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team environment and work extended hours (as needed)
Strong self‑motivation and attitude for personal career growth, willingness to self‑learn, and work in new technology domains
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
