What to Expect Tesla is seeking a detail-oriented Labor Coordinator to join our large-scale EPC project team. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate labor tracking for self‑perform contingent workers, supporting project efficiency and financial accountability. Success in this role requires a commitment to precision, collaboration, and alignment with Tesla's mission‑driven goals.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with foremen and superintendents across all disciplines (Electrical, CSA, Mechanical, I&C) to ensure daily timekeeping logs are submitted accurately and on time.

Verify that timekeeping data is billed to the correct project scopes and aligns with labor invoicing requirements.

Populate and maintain weekly labor hour reports, including headcount tracking, project burn rates, and variance analysis.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power BI to organize, visualize, and report on contingent labor metrics. Support in flagging discrepancies to supporting teams for support.

Support labor management by identifying trends in staffing needs, overtime, and productivity through basic data analytics.

Conduct training sessions for field teams on timekeeping tools and processes to standardize data entry.

Ensure compliance with internal labor policies and contractual obligations for self‑perform contingent workforce tracking.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related Engineering field preferred.

Basic understanding of construction jobsite workflows and discipline-specific roles (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) and Power BI (dashboards, reporting).

Excellent communication skills to coordinate between field teams and back‑office billing departments and strong attention to detail and ability to cross‑reference timekeeping data with project documentation.

Prior experience in labor tracking, project coordination, or administrative support in a construction environment.

Data analytics background for interpreting labor trends and optimizing reporting and familiarity with construction labor billing processes and scope coding systems is a plus.

Will inster n e s t o t r a v e l to other projects up to 20% of time.
