Position Overview
Looking to make a difference in the lives of Women, Infants, and Children in our community? The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of
Nutritionist
in our WIC program. This position will promote individual and population health through nutrition education initiatives and health behavior change programs in the WIC setting for diverse populations. It will evaluate dietary needs of pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children, and explain and certify eligibility of WIC participants based on nutritional risk.
Work hours may fluctuate in relation to the assigned clinic and will vary between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
Bilingual capabilities in Spanish are strongly preferred.
This position is open until filled and has the option to underfill as a Nutritionist Educator. Applications will be guaranteed review through November 28th, 2025.

Experience, Education, and Training (Nutritionist)
Requires graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics.
One year of WIC experience.
OR a Bachelor's Degree in a related area with 15 hours in Nutrition, Community Nutrition and Diet Therapy coursework.
One year of WIC experience.
Preferred: Fully bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish.
Licensing/Certification (Nutritionist)
The assignment requires incumbent to possess a valid Driver's License and must be able to provide own vehicle for on‑the‑job transportation.
Experience, Education, and Training (Nutritionist Educator)
Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics.
OR Bachelor's Degree in a related area with 15 hours in Nutrition, Community Nutrition and Diet Therapy coursework.
Licensing/Certification (Nutritionist Educator)
None required.
Salary Nutritionist: \$42,619.20 – \$73,174.40 annually.
Nutritionist Educator: \$39,436.80 – \$61,380.80 annually.
