Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will have the responsibility to assist in the operation of all Elementary (1-5th grade) Ministry related tasks in the Kids Ministry of the Spring Branch Campus, including but not limited to the following: • Assist the Spring Branch Kids Pastor with Sunday responsibilities. • Volunteer coordinator for Elementary Duties include: weekly communication, coordinating, inputting and maintaining scheduling within Planning Center, and developing relationships with volunteers. • Liaison with Human Resources for volunteer onboarding. • Help the Kids Pastor recruit, train, and manage volunteers. • Oversee weekly Early Elementary and 4th/5th Grade curriculum including writing and reviewing lessons, preparing materials, and preparing Pro-presenter slides. • Help troubleshoot Kids Check In. • Manage purchases and reimbursements for Elementary. • Assist with classroom preparation and upkeep, involving property staff as necessary, making sure classrooms are safe, stocked with supplies, and provide a welcoming environment for children and families. • Assist the Kids Pastor with pastoral care. • Assist the Kids Pastor with Milestone classes and developmental programs. • Attend campus staff meetings and ministry meetings as scheduled. • Assist the Kids Pastor in coordinating various events: Bayou City Nights, Easter Picnic, Trunk or Treat, Christmas Kids Choir, Road to the Resurrection, Palm Sunday, 5th Grade Frenzy, etc. • Other duties as assigned by the Kids Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS • Previous ministry experience required. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to function at a high level in stressful situations. • Basic computer knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. • Other Computer experience a plus: Planning Center, ProPresenter, Google Drive and Canva.
ADDITIONAL NOTES • Modified Work week Sunday-Thursday with flexibility. • Some schedule flexibility required for special events.
