Fitter Welder
1st shift
Location: Cudahy, WI
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Pay: $26 - $29/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview We are seeking experienced Fitter Welders to join our team on 1st shift at our Cudahy, WI facility. In this role, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, fitting and welding metal fabrications of varying sizes - from small assemblies to several thousand pounds. This position requires strong welding abilities (hardwire and/or metalcore), as well as experience operating overhead and jib cranes and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fit-up and welds
Fit and weld metal components based on project requirements
Use hardwire and/or metalcore welding techniques
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts to move and position materials
Conduct quality checks on completed welds and assemblies
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in fitting and welding in a fabrication or manufacturing setting
Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
Skilled in hardwire and/or metalcore welding
Experience operating overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
