About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in the Internet/Tech/Social Media Platform industry, is looking for a skilled
Manual QA Tester
to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves maintaining quality across their iOS and Android apps, as well as their Web experience, as they continuously ship new features to their users. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Feature, Regression, and Ad Hoc Testing:
Support multiple product teams with feature, full regression, and ad hoc testing.
Test Plan Management:
Create and update test plans in alignment with new features and product launches.
Functionality & Issue Communication:
Test app functionality and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders.
Bug Reproduction & Ticketing:
Review user-generated or internal bug reports, reproduce issues, and initiate the ticketing process.
Exploratory Testing:
Perform exploratory testing to uncover unanticipated bugs and edge cases.
Issue Monitoring:
Utilize tracking and debugging tools to monitor and resolve issues.
Communication:
Maintain clear and frequent communication with team members, stakeholders, and project/product owners regarding test results and troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in a similar Manual QA Tester role.
Deep expertise in testing on Android, iOS, and web browsers for application testing. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, and collaborate closely with product and development teams.
Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control is a plus.
Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team, team members, stakeholders, and project/product owners.
