Senior QA Manual Engineer – Mobile Applications

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Manual Engineer specialized in mobile applications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing methodologies, particularly within the mobile space. They will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications through meticulous testing and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
Execute test cases manually to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.
Collaborate closely with the development team to understand project requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
Conduct regression testing to ensure previously identified issues have been resolved and new features have not introduced unintended side effects.
Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues not covered by existing test cases.
Document and track defects using a bug tracking system, and work with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Participate in release planning and validation activities to ensure new releases meet quality standards and are ready for deployment.
Mentor and support junior QA team members, providing guidance on testing best practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend improvements to the QA process.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing mobile applications.
Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their testing frameworks.
Experience with manual testing tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
