Summary The Quality Control Inspectors monitor operations to ensure products are being produced according to standards. They review specifications, oversee processes and identify defects in goods and materials. Some quality control inspectors make suggestions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of machines and operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Ensure that all the quality check procedures put in place are followed during every step of the production phase
Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or non-conformities in a safe and efficient manner
Analyze test data and inspection results to determine if products meet quality standards
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
Complete check sheets, reports, forms, etc. as assigned & with accuracy
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input on process enhancements
Communicate with leadership quickly and effectively
Meet daily production goals through teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives
Read and/or enter data through computer or PDA
Ensure equipment and workstations are cleaned daily
Follow Mobis MNAe guidelines (according to handbook) and other policies established by department
Comply with all safety rules and guidance, as well as report all recognized hazards
All other duties as assigned
Working independently and good communication skills Basic Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Manufacturing Quality Inspection experience preferred but not required
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Basic reading and computer skills
Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data accurately
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of quality issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Effectively use hand tools and/or air tools
Quickly learn new tasks and follow detailed work instructions
Must be a team player in a team working environment
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed on short notice
Preferred Education & Experience
Manufacturing Quality Inspection experience preferred but not required
Working Conditions
Production/assembly (or Warehouse) environment
Traversing around production/ warehouse floor
Standing for extended periods of time
Repetitive motions
Lifting (between 10-30 lbs.)
Work may take place on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
