Job Summary As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will drive revenue growth by converting prospects into qualified leads for the sales team. Your responsibilities include identifying stakeholders, uncovering customer pain points, and securing meetings with decision‑makers across healthcare and government sectors.

Duties / Responsibilities

Prospecting & Research – identify and generate new business opportunities through research and outreach to cold accounts and warm leads in Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Vendor Solutions, and other government programs.

Tailored Messaging – develop and deliver highly personalized outreach via email, conferences, and other communication channels to secure meetings with target personas.

Communicate Value – articulate THB’s value proposition and product offerings clearly to prospects, demonstrating an understanding of their pain points.

Collaborate Internally – work cross‑functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams to align messaging and strategies.

Pipeline Management – accurately log all activities, interactions, and engagements in the CRM system to ensure transparency and pipeline health.

Creative Engagement – leverage innovative approaches to establish trust, engage prospects, and set meetings.

Ownership – take full accountability for creating targeted prospect lists, developing messaging strategies, and uncovering opportunities through detailed research.

Travel – be prepared for significant travel, including attendance at training, conferences, and customer on‑site visits. Expect 8‑10 trips of 2–3 days each in 2026.

Other duties as assigned/necessary.

Performance Metrics

Outbound Activities – total calls, emails, and other touchpoints made daily/weekly.

Connect Rate – percentage of outreach that results in a meaningful conversation.

Meeting Set Rate – number of qualified meetings booked relative to outreach efforts.

Qualified Opportunities – total leads converted into qualified opportunities (SQOs).

Accepted Leads (SALs) – number of leads passed to sales that are accepted as viable opportunities.

Quota Attainment – number of meetings set or qualified opportunities created against monthly/quarterly targets.

Revenue Influence – contribution of BDR‑generated leads to closed revenue.

Requirements Required Skills / Abilities

Relentless ambition, critical thinking, and coachability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft tailored messaging.

Strong research and analytical skills to identify opportunities and uncover pain points.

Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and prospecting tools.

Ability to travel as required (10‑12 trips annually).

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

1+ year of experience in sales, preferably in B2B sales with strong foundational sales training.

Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and quotas.

Experience prospecting into healthcare, government, or related sectors is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain at a workstation for the duration of the workday, operating a computer and VoIP.

Ability to communicate information clearly to others.

Observational ability at close range (typically on a computer screen).

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Ability to navigate airports, conference venues, and customer sites, including walking, standing, and occasional stair climbing.

Position offers the flexibility of remote work within the United States; candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a designated work environment for professional phone calls and sensitive data.
