Autonomous work in the Atlanta area, with travel to policyholder and broker locations as required.
What We’re Looking For The Premium Auditor will complete final premium audits both remotely and onsite, strengthening relationships with agents and policyholders as the primary contact for audit result inquiries.
Conduct final premium audits on workers‑compensation policies across multiple states, including onsite inspections as needed.
Review documentation submitted through the customer portal; proactively communicate with policyholders and agents to gather necessary information, including complex payroll and tax documents.
Identify issues and concerns, address non‑complex matters with external stakeholders, and notify the supervisor for further review of complex issues.
Summarize audit results using company software, providing justification for classification codes and creating worksheets to verify final audited payroll.
Research applicable Bureau websites and call centers to prepare for meetings with policyholders and conduct onsite visits, verifying classification codes against state bureaus.
Resolve discrepancies within prescribed authority, acting as the primary contact for agents and policyholders regarding audit result inquiries.
Collaborate with underwriting and other internal departments to maintain accurate classification codes and resolve disputes, providing general overviews of dispute resolution processes when requested.
Operate under company communication guidelines and standard operating procedures, providing high‑quality service to stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement in compliance and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Valid U.S. driver’s license in good standing.
Certified Insurance Premium Auditor (CIPA) designation preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of premium audit experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of classification codes and premium audit procedures for multiple jurisdictions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 and relevant databases, systems, and vendor software.
Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Relationship‑building, attention to detail, reasoning, and results‑oriented mindset.
