Overview Production Supervisor – Second Shift – Packaging (Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5 PM to 5 AM). The role leads production teams in the safe and efficient production of high‑quality food sauces, overseeing either packaging lines or mixing kitchens within a value stream. Responsibilities include fostering team development, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities Leadership
Develop, coach, and evaluate team members
Share best practices across teams and shifts
Manage performance and resolve conflicts
Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and incident investigations
Operations
Promote a culture of food safety and quality
Ensure safe work practices and compliance with GMPs
Lead production teams to meet schedules and efficiency targets
Execute the Operational Master Plan (OMP) and monitor progress
Control staffing and labor costs through effective scheduling
Minimize waste and rework through process control
Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Change Management and Visual Leadership
Lead and support change initiatives within the value stream
Implement and train on visual management tools such as dashboards and performance boards
Engage teams in problem‑solving and decision making
Continuous Improvement
Monitor and improve OEE performance
Apply TPM methodologies, including root‑cause analysis, centerlining, 5S, SMED, and SOP development
Participate in Tier 2 Value Stream meetings and strategic projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred)
2‑3 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role
Food manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and TPM methodology
Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Working Conditions/Environment The Supervisor will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing plant environment, requiring flexibility to rotate across shifts and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The role demands strong leadership and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
