Senior Pricing Analyst

19 hours ago Be among the first 25 applicants Seeking a Pricing Analyst to support its Finance and Accounting functions. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the development of pricing strategies, analyzing pricing data and trends, and generating proposals for internal and client-facing use. This role will collaborate with attorneys, billing teams, and management to ensure pricing models align with client agreements and the firm's financial objectives. Strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, and communication skills are critical to success in this position. Key Responsibilities: • Approve pricing components within the client and matter onboarding process; escalate exceptions as needed • Review client and matter records to ensure alignment with contractual engagement terms • Create rate schedules for electronic billing and support the billing department with rate-related inquiries • Develop fixed fee and estimate-based budgets using internal budgeting tools • Handle rate change requests, determine rate exceptions, and manage custom rate group creation • Prepare pricing proposals and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients • Collect, validate, and analyze pricing data using SQL, SSRS, Excel, and financial tools • Generate reports for pricing reviews, rate exceptions, and budget tracking • Maintain the Matter Budget Tool and track budget adherence for fixed fee matters • Collaborate with attorneys to communicate pricing trends, strategies, and exceptions • Partner with the Billing department to address pricing and invoice-related issues • Create ad hoc reports as requested by attorneys or senior leadership • Perform other pricing and financial support duties as assigned Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field • Minimum of four (4) years in a data or financial analysis role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment • Familiarity with SQL queries and working in a Cube environment is a plus • Proficiency in Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables Special Requirements: • None required, but availability for occasional overtime is expected Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail • Effective time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of SSRS and 3E preferred • Ability to work collaboratively with legal, finance, and operational teams Additional Desired Characteristics: • Experience in pricing or financial roles within legal or professional services firms • Familiarity with budgeting tools and engagement pricing models • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service orientation • Based in the Northeastern U.S. with potential for hybrid or remote flexibility depending on team needs • Standard business hours with occasional overtime during billing cycles or peak financial reporting periods Other Duties: • This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
