Operating Room Patient Care Technician
position is a vital part of the surgical services department, offering the opportunity to assist across multiple clinical areas, including ambulatory care, sterile processing, phlebotomy, and surgical support. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (Required) 1-3 years of relevant experience as an STNA, Medical Assistant, or Phlebotomist (Preferred) Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification (Required; can be obtained during orientation) Key Responsibilities:
Assist with operating room support, sterile equipment handling, and surgical prep Monitor and document vital signs, perform bladder scans and blood glucose testing Collect and transport lab specimens, perform EKGs, and assist with phlebotomy tasks Manage supply restocking, equipment transport, and room turnover Perform clerical duties including order entry and answering phones Support nursing staff with direct patient care under RN supervision Communicate with families and promote involvement in patient care where appropriate Flex to other departments as needed based on patient census and staffing Benefits Highlights:
