Full-Time Patient Care Technician (PCT)
position offers the chance to work across multiple areas within Surgical Services-supporting operating room functions, sterile processing, phlebotomy, and patient care. Join a compassionate, mission-driven team in a hospital committed to community health and clinical excellence.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (Required) 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, STNA, or Phlebotomist (Preferred) BCLS certification (Required - may be obtained during orientation) What You Will Do:
Perform a variety of clinical support tasks including obtaining vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and bladder scans under RN supervision Assist with patient preparation, transport, and room turnover in surgical and ambulatory settings Collect, label, and transport lab specimens following hospital protocol Conduct EKGs, assist with phlebotomy, and enter lab orders in CPSI Perform sterile processing duties and maintain stock of department supplies Handle clerical responsibilities such as answering phones and entering orders Support the patient's family involvement in care when appropriate Demonstrate flexibility by floating across clinical areas as needed based on staffing and census Additional Benefits:
