What You’ll Do
- Lead and expand a world‑class multidisciplinary NPI team (mechanical, thermal, electrical, and power engineers).
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop measurable goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the full NPI lifecycle: from early design validation and prototyping through volume ramp and production handoff.
- Define and refine processes for hardware bring‑up, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks to accelerate time‑to‑deploy for new hardware programs.
- Partner with Systems Engineering, Operations, Data Center, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners to drive continuous improvements in product design and reliability.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for hardware issues encountered during validation and deployment.
- Guide the design and review of mechanical, thermal, electrical, and power systems for new platforms.
- Drive the creation of test plans, performance validation procedures, and quality metrics.
- Analyze and optimize performance and efficiency across hardware configurations at scale.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience in hardware engineering or NPI environments, with 3+ years in a management or technical leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering new hardware platforms from concept to production in large‑scale environments.
- Deep understanding of one or more engineering disciplines: mechanical, thermal, electrical, or power systems.
- Experience working closely with hardware vendors and OEMs to resolve design, validation, or manufacturing issues.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Strong program management and process development experience.
- Passion for operational excellence and building scalable systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, highly technical, and dynamic environment.
- Bonus: Experience in data center hardware, server design, or compute infrastructure.
- Bonus: Background in automation or firmware‑driven hardware validation.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $260,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace
While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration.
