Overview Tower Peak Partners is a private markets investment firm launched in 2024, headquartered in London with offices in New York and Rio de Janeiro. The firm focuses on delivering differentiated and high-impact investments for institutional investors, addressing climate, economic, and social changes.

Key Responsibilities

Advise executive leadership and various departments on legal matters including contracts, intellectual property, employment, and corporate governance.

Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks across the organization.

Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, manage and represent the firm in legal proceedings, often working with outside counsel.

Lead all legal aspects of M&A, leveraged buyouts, growth equity investments, and exits.

Partner with investor relations and external counsel on legal/regulatory aspects of fund formation, marketing, operations, capital calls, and distributions.

Manage external legal advisors and control legal spend.

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies’ requirements, staying updated on laws and regulations.

Design and deliver training programs for employees on policies and regulations.

Support internal and external investigations and audits related to compliance.

Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, implement controls, and report findings to senior management and the board.

Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (SEC, FinCEN) and external auditors.

Monitor legislative changes and adapt policies, providing transparent updates to senior management and the board.

Candidate Profile

A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in a U.S. state bar.

Minimum 15 years of experience as a licensed lawyer in the financial industry or a law firm specializing in finance.

Proven track record in the investment industry, especially private equity.

Strong understanding of best practices and standards for legal and regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance.

Deep knowledge of U.S. laws such as SOX, FCPA, AML, data privacy laws (CCPA).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Experience advising executive teams and boards on legal and compliance matters.
